Is cell coverage / SIM card needed in order to use Maven?

Maven does not need cell coverage / SIM card in order to work. However, if you are in a place in which you don't have access to Wi-Fi, you may need to use mobile data to connect your smartphone to the internet in order to use the Maven App and access your pet’s data.
